Why I Became A Moderator

After starting my career focusing on analytic research methods, I soon realized that my true passion was in connecting the analytic research back to the consumer. What was interesting to me was simply why people spend the way they do, which is the very definition of Behavioral Economics.

While conventional economics is based on the belief that people are perfectly rational and predictable, and make choices that maximize their happiness, behavioral economics addresses the reality that people don’t always make good decisions. Having a thorough understanding of this behavioral psychology allows me to separate what is being said from what the consumer really does.

What sets me apart as a moderator is the ability to uncover the real story and tell that story well. I deliver the insights in a clear, simple message that a client can act on.

I earned a B.S. in Economics from Miami University in Ohio, an M.A. in Economics from DePaul University and served as an adjunct economics professor. I am a RIVA trained moderator.
